Druiden und Daemonen

2024 Mar 21th

Winning

The playing person wins who first reaches 36 points. A Population of one color counts as 1 point a Druid Stone counts as 3 points and a Temple Stone 5 points. If the last Map Field is taken the playing person completes their turn and the playing person with most points wins.

Gamestart

The big Demon Field is placed into the middle. After this every playing person draws blind 5 Map Fields after each other and attaches them to the middle. A new attached field has to be connected to two other fields and the sides have to fit to each other like a puzzle from landscape. The Demon Fields count as every Landscape that is needed. Now the game starts. The row of playing persons is set clockwise and the starting one is chosen.

Portals

The 5 Portals are drawn together with the Map Fields and are placed free touching another Field. A Portal has always to be placed. Fields next to a Portal are next to every other Field next to any Portal. Nothing can be placed on Portal.

Temple and Populations

Always only ONE Population can stand on water- and forest fields but NOT on Deamon fields or Mountains. As long as there are at least 2 sides with water or forest on a mountain field the Population is allowed to be there. To create a Temple there have to be 3 Druid Stones each on corners of 3 fields that share one field in the middle. The Temple Stone is placed on this field. 1 Druid Stone has to own three fields with a Population on it that are connected to each other it can exist later without populations. 1 Druid Stone can only share 1 field with 2 other Druid Stones. A Druid Stone is only to be placed on a corner in between at least 2 sides of forest. A Temple belongs to the playing person who owns at least 2 of it's Druid Stones. Populations and Druid Stones which are lost by placing Demon Fileds or through moving on them can't be used any more and are taken out of the game.

Actions

The playing person chooses two actions or one action can be chosen twice. Each action can be performed in parts or not at all. The playing person markes the actions they choose on the action card. It is forbidden to perform the actions of the previous playing person or of the playing person's own actions of the previous turn! The actions are performed after each other and after the choosing of them.

1) black magic

2 out of the following options are to be chosen (4 playing persons just 1); if this action is chosen 2 times there are 3 of the following options to be chosen (4 playing persons just 2):

a) There is to be placed 1 Demon Field on a Map Field with connection to the Demon Field in the middle. This connection can be extended by other Demon Fields. There can always be only one Demon Field on a Map Field! If there is a Populations on this field it is put out of the game. If 2 out of the 3 Fields of a Druid Stone are Demon Fields it is put out of the game. If a Temple looses 1 of it's Druid Stones it is put out of the game. It is also possible to put an existing Demon Field out of the game. All Demon Fields that are not connected to the middle are also put out of the game!

b) The playing person places a Demon Field underneath one of thier population which has to be connected to one of their Druid Stones directly or through populations of the playing person. As long as the connection holds this population cannot die but also cannot move! It functions as the big Demon Field in the middle but JUST for this playing person! In the moment when the connection to the Druid Stone is cut off the Demon Filed underneath is taken away.

2) white magic

2 out of the following options are to be chosen; if this action is chosen 2 times there are 3 of the following options to be chosen:

a) 1 Druid Stone is placed on a corner of 3 connected fields with own Population on it. This Druid Stone can be taken from another place in the game as well if it belongs to the playing person.

b) 1 Temple Stone is placed in the middle of 3 Druid Stones that share one field. This Temple Stone can be taken from another place in the game as well if it belongs to the playing person.

c) 1 Druid Stone of an opponent can be changed to one's own if 2 of it's 3 fields are set with one own's Populations.

3) scout

8 new Map Fields taken blindly are placed on the board. A new field has to connect to 2 other fields. The sides of the Landscape have to fit to each other! If this action is chosen 2 times there are 12 Map Fields to be taken!

4) new Populations

The playing person gets as many new Populations as they own Temples adding 2 and places them at an own Population or Druid Stone. If a playing person has no Population or Druid Stones they can place the first new Population on any free field.

5) moving Populations

The playing person moves 8 Populations 1 field further and can jump over own Populations. If this action is chosen 2 times there are 12 Populations to be moved! If there is an opponing Population on a field to which is moved on it can be put out of the game if the playing person could set 1 of 3 Populations which connect to this field directly on it. Always only 2 of these taken Populations can be changed in Action 4) into 1 aditional Population of the own color.
